Central Interior Rural Division of Family Practice

About Us

Divisions create a stronger collective voice for primary care providers, both in their local communities and within the healthcare system, supporting them to improve clinical practices, offer comprehensive patient services, and influence health service decision-making.

By joining a division, physicians and nurse practitioners have the opportunity to collaborate on regional issues and benefit from professional development opportunities, peer and professional support, specialist access, mentorship, and participation in physician recruitment and retention activities.

The Division gives local physicians an opportunity to work collaboratively with the Health Authority, the Family Practices Services Committee (FPSC), and the Ministry of Health to identify health care needs in the local community and develop solutions to meet those needs.

Being a member of a Division offers a number of benefits. Join the CIRD today!
