Dr. Kathy Jones, Knowledge Keeper

Kathy.JPGDr. Jones graduated from McGill Medical school in 1985, after which she returned to BC to complete her internship at the Royal Columbian Hospital. By the end of this internship, she knew she wanted to be a general practitioner with privileges at the Royal Columbian Hospital. Dr. Jones shares her time as a community doctor, serving patients at Care4You, and working in the hospital. One of the most fulfilling parts of her job as a physician is the great pleasure of helping babies come into the world. She also volunteers her time working as a physician in the developing world. She began volunteering with a trip to Cambodia to make a fundraising video with Hope International. She then volunteered as a doctor in the Phillippines, and for the past 8 years has been working in rural Guatemala. One of her greatest passions is helping improve the health of indigenous and under-serviced people in developing countries.
