Pat joined Rural Remote Divisions in October of 2018 bringing with her a passion for life and work in rural, remote BC. Originally from Ontario, Pat graduated from Queens University with a nursing science degree. It was here that Pat experienced her first taste of health care delivery in a remote community. The time spent in Moose Factory exposed her to a health care service delivery model to which she had never seen in the urban training area from which she came. Time spent working in nursing stations in Canada’s north, general duty nursing in the 15 bed Bella Coola General Hospital, and community health care delivery have provided Pat with a wealth of experience and a wonderful life. Pat is happy to have shared this adventure with her husband and their daughter (hatched, reared and dispatched from the Bella Coola Valley.) Pat looks forward to continued work within Rural and Remote Divisions of Family Practice.
