Comox Valley Division of Family Practice

Maternal Health

Through Shared Care’s Partners in Care initiative, Comox Valley Division is collaborating with Perinatal Services BC on an extensive project to assess maternity care needs in our area and create solutions to address any gaps.

At the core of this collaborative effort is direct input from women and families, family doctors, obstetricians, midwives and local perinatal care providers to ensure maternity patients have access to appropriate pre- and post-natal care. Through increased opportunities to share expertise and knowledge, we are working to align maternity care and create a seamless approach that will lead to improved health outcomes for pregnant women, new moms and babies.
