Originally from Nova Scotia, Dr Gillis began practicing in 2006 and relocated from Northern BC three years ago. She now works at Lexitor Medical Clinic, a full-service family practice, with an interest in obstetrics. Through her role as a Director at Large, Dr. Gillis hopes to improve upon the great work the Nanaimo Division has done, promote the communication between community physicians and hospital physicians, and encourage new and existing physicians to continue hospital care for their patients.
Dr. Gillis will work to promote the sustainability and balance of being a full service general practitioners, including practicing obstetrics for any physician with interest in that area.
