Dr. Allison Ferg - Secretary

Dr. Allison Ferg graduated with an MD from the University of Manitoba in 1984. She then completed an internship in Victoria, followed by the CCFP (Certification in the College of Family Physicians) certification.

Since 1986, she has worked in a full service Family Practice, including obstetrics, as she has a special interest in maternity care. Dr. Ferg has also been active in teaching Family Medicine and has been a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Family Medicine residency program, since 1993.

Dr. Ferg has been on the Board of Directors of the South Island Division of Family Practice for the past two years. She has been involved with many Division initiatives including the Collaborative Maternity Clinic, the GI working group for Partners in Care, the Physician Health and Wellness working group, and the family medicine resident mentorship program.

She is a long-time supporter of continuing medical education, and has been a Practice-Based Small Group member since 1995, and a group facilitator since 2004.

Dr. Allison Ferg is extremely passionate about family medicine, and continuing to build its profile and depth in our community. She feels very fortunate to work within a group of such excellent practitioners.
