Victoria Divisions of Family Practice

PPE for members of the Victoria and South Island Divisions of Family Practice

Update December 2, 2020:

The centralized PPE distribution system for doctor offices has now launched. Doctors who qualify are able to order PPE and critical supplies from the Ministry through the new Health PPE Portal at no cost. Here are the general steps you can take to order PPE through the centralized distribution system during the pandemic.

Community Doctors: How to Order your PPE

  1. You will receive a letter with instructions on how to register for the new Health PPE Portal. If you believe you qualify but have not received a letter by December 15th, you can email health.ppe@gov.bc.ca for assistance.
  2. Follow the directions in the letter. The letter contains a unique customer number and information on how to access the portal to place your order.

Highlights from the Minister of Health memo on the Health PPE Portal Roll Out and more information on the registration process and available supplies:

  • Who is eligible: all general practitioners, nurse practitioners, and specialist physicians working in community clinics are eligible to order PPE and critical supplies through the Health PPE Portal.
  • Maximum size of orders: up to a three month supply.
  • Available products: medical grade masks, gowns, gloves, eye protection, disinfecting products.
  • Limited supply option: N95 respirators, pediatric medical masks, and nitrile glove.
