Victoria Divisions of Family Practice

Strategic Planning Engagement

Strategic planning 2020-23:
Mark your calendars and ask Liz anything!

The Board of the Victoria Division of Family Practice is seeking input from you, our members, as we build our 2020-2023 Strategic Plan.

Having a strategic plan matters because it helps the Board decide where to focus our time and resources. This is especially important when we’re faced with many requests and initiatives coming at us from outside the organization. The strategic plan acts as an ‘anchor’ to come back to. It ensures we maintain our focus on programs and initiatives that benefit you, our members.

As we develop our strategic plan, we are building on the great input we received last year when we met with you at the neighbourhood network meetings.  You told us the things that you need in order to have sustainable family practices. As much as possible, we will include these elements in our plan that will take us to 2023.

The strategic planning process includes a remunerated online survey that is live now, last NewsFlash's poll, office visits, small group discussions at some of our upcoming events. On April 1st, it will finish with a (remunerated) town hall forum where you can see the input we received and help shape the Division’s strategic priorities for the next three years. Mark your calendars for April 1st, 5:45 pm!

If you have any questions or comments about the strategic planning process, please contact Board member and resident Liz Pharo. Liz will also be available to speak with you directly at some of our upcoming learning sessions.

Your thoughts are essential. If we are going to sustain a robust family practice in Victoria, it’s your needs that must shape our strategic direction! We look forward to checking in with you on your priorities over the next weeks.

We know you are working hard for your patients and that your participation in the Division is on top of all the great work you’re already doing. We really value your time, so thank you!
