Welcome to the Divisions of Family Practice

Divisions of Family Practice are community-based groups of family physicians working together to achieve common health care goals. There are currently 33 Divisions of Family Practice in BC that encompass 129 communities, and discussions are under way in up to another four areas of the province.

Patient attachment: Identifying methods for improvement in the Cowichan Valley
The Cowichan Valley Division was one of three divisions to prototype A GP for Me at the local level. A number of BC communities are now actively exploring ways to meet the complex challenge of patient attachment, and many others will follow. UpToDate re-authentication extended to 90 days
